Can someone step up and help? She is willing to help with food if you need it. Lisa, I’m still taking care of two places. I’m only able to use one arm, due to my torn rotator cuff and my walking ability is so unsteady, without my cane or walker. Point is, I can continue with the group that comes to my porch at night, because that’s only a few steps. But, I really need someone to take the feeding station on Pinkham and Victor. I feed and give fresh water 2-3 times a week. I check more often when we have extreme heat. Their food is covered as I put it in a large bin. I’m not sure how many come there at night, but I know most of two containers of food is gone around the third day or fourth, if delayed. I’ve gotten several fixed and adopted out. I’ve been there, at least 4 or 5 years. The problem for me is getting my bad legs up on the curb, across the sidewalk and behind the bushes, plus only using one arm. I’m receiving PT for my torn rotator cuff, but surgery will probably have to be done, the surgeons say. I need someone who’s in better shape, to take over. Maybe someone from the area? I can’t keep falling or I’m going to end up breaking a hip. I can’t feel horrible, because I’ve been taking care of colonies for most of my life. I am sorry! Old age is not for the weak. I just don’t want to leave them with nothing! Please let me know if someone can carry this torch. Thanks, Lisa. Hope you and yours are staying well!
