Guidelines for Volunteers
Welcome to the VFCC family! We’re excited to have you on board. To create a positive and supportive environment for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
1. **Stay Positive:** Always aim to foster a cheerful atmosphere. Your enthusiasm can make a big difference in how our visitors feel about their experience!
2. **Respectful Communication:** When speaking as a VFCC representative, please avoid discussing religion and politics. This helps us maintain a neutral space for everyone.
3. **Support One Another:** Let’s uplift our community and avoid negative comments about other rescues or animal services. Collaboration is key!
4. **Rise Above Negativity:** If you encounter unkind comments about cats, choose to stay calm and not engage in arguments. Remember, we are the bigger person!
5. **Respect Privacy:** Always ask for permission before sharing someone else’s contact information. It’s important to respect everyone’s privacy.
6. **Encourage Constructive Dialogue:** If someone isn’t a cat fan, gently steer the conversation toward how they can help us with issues like reducing cat populations.
7. **Set Boundaries:** If someone shares distressing stories about cats, it’s okay to kindly say, “I’d prefer not to hear that,” and walk away if they keep going.
8. **Voucher Code Timing:** Please keep in mind that voucher codes for the following month should only be shared after the 15th of the current month.
9. **Ask Questions:** If you’re ever unsure about anything or need assistance, feel free to ask questions! We’re here to support you and make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
Thank you for being a vital part of VFCC! Your dedication and positive spirit help us create a welcoming environment for all. Let’s work together to make a difference!
